Aya did all the truly interesting things. She's the one history remembers, and now we find out that she's a descendant of demi-gods. Yet we played her husband instead. Don't get me wrong, I thought Bayek was a great character, probably only surpassed by Edward and (imo) Kassandra herself. Its just, as I looked back on the story of Origins, I Origins did alotOdyssey did even more. They where testing the waters and saw that nobody cared, who knows what is next. Isu, assassin, and templar lore is all retconned. Literally what the series is built on is changed. Altair was supposed to be the first Assassin to record the POE, but Bayek interacted directly with them and WROTE NOTHING DOWN.

It’s due to his strong moral Bayek was the most effective Assassin (maybe tied with Amunet) specially because he did everything by himself, unlike most others who had help/training from the Brotherhood. What's even more funny is that Eivor as a non-Assassin ended up probably being the person who did the most damage to the OOTA.
