CANbus faults don't always mean there's a problem with the bus itself, but that the expected data was not received from another module on the bus. For example, BMW L322s will store a (50) CAN bus fault in EAS if there is a fault in the ABS or SAS. Sometimes you need to reset the other module before the CAN fault will reset.

It sets idle speed and is controlled electronically. The engine electronics (ECU) sends pulses to the valve which allows air to "bypass" the trottle plate.
